RealCart Templates 101 - Modifying your first template

Download and extract this file.

Now we have some fun. Download this file and extract it with WinZip (or other zip file utility) then save the catalog.html to your new Test Theme Template folder. If you switched to this theme as instructed above then the Test Theme folder should now be your Current Theme folder.

Now that you have downloaded and extracted the catalog.html template go ahead and click on your store name on the left side of your screen, at the top of the store menu. The example store name is RealCart Shop. Your store name will be whatever you entered into the first field on the Site tab of the Store Wizard. The store menu looks like Fig. 2. below:

To select your Store Name in the Store menu tree on the left side of your RealCart screen just click the topmost item in the list. The store name is the top item next to the icon that looks like a tiny building. The catalog.html file makes a perfect experimental file because you can modify a template, (doesn't even have to be the catalog template), rebuild this page and instantly see the results. Ready? Click the rebuild page button to see the finished result of the new catalog.html file in your current theme folder.
