Auto Choices - Course Introduction
The purpose of this course is to teach you how to force the product page to automatically select the first product choice in each of your product options. This involves modifying only one snippit file, rebuilding all of your store pages and then republishing. The snippit we will be working with is called choices.snp and it can be found in the Common Folder.
A WORD OF CAUTION: RealCart product options were designed to force a selection for a good reason. If a shopper is forced to see what the different product options are he or she will be more likely to 'up-sell' themselves by choosing an option that costs extra. If the shopper is not forced to choose a product option he/she will rarely upgrade to more expensive options. Instead they will simply hit the “Add to Cart” button and continue shopping or checkout.
