Removing Thumbnail Images from Department Pages - Course Introduction

The purpose of this course is to teach you how to remove the thumbnail images from your department page(s). This involves copying the department.html template file, editing it with a text editor, saving it and finally choosing it as the template for one or several of your department pages. After you are happy with the results you can then rebuild all of your store pages and then republish.

The purpose of copying the department.html is so you can create a second template to use for one or several of your departments. All department template filenames must start with the letters dep. By naming your department templates in this fashion and then saving them in your Current Theme Folder it makes them available in the template pull-down menu.
